10 Weeks Pregnant

10 Weeks Pregnant in months?

Now you are  in 10 weeks , this means you are in the 3rd month of your pregnancy.

You may finally stop questioning when I will start looking pregnant? Since It is going to happen this time. This week may be the right time for small retail therapy.

You may start shopping for some new clothes and maternity wear. But you have still seven months in which there may be the possibility of body changes.

Baby at this Week

Size

Congratulations! Your baby has completely changed from embryo to foetus this week.

With this change, there are lots of changes too.

Your baby is about the size of a kumquat (which is a group of small fruit-bearing trees in the flowering plant family Rutaceae).

He can widen his spine. The baby is 1.22 inches long and his weight is about 0.14 oz.

Growth

Bones

Your foetus this week is growing very fast and furiously. Bones and cartilage are starting to appear.

Small depressions on the legs are starting to develop into knees and ankles. The arms with elbows have already started growing.

The conclusion of all this growth is that your baby is beginning to look like a human. But all these parts are getting stronger and taking shape. Each one of those is still tiny.

Baby’s first teeth

The tooth bud started appearing this week. This is an indication of the appearance of your baby’s little grinder, which is preparing under the gums.

However, those white glowing teeth will not break through the gums until your baby is close to 6 months old.

Other organs

Other parts are also developing throughout this week. Your baby’s stomach is forming the digestive juices.

The kidneys are producing a large amount of urine. If the baby is a boy, then he will start producing testosterone.

10 Weeks Pregnant Mother

Your body:

Wondering what to expect in this 10th week of your pregnancy?

As your newborn grows, your ligaments and muscles are beginning to extend inside your pregnant belly.

Your breasts are getting larger, and some other essential changes are occurring.

Your Life at 10th week

Is the first trimester exhausting or are you enjoying it? Whatever the condition, you can’t fast forward or stop time.

But you can do one thing: try to focus on the things that are in your control, like comfy bras and adorable photos.

Things to consider:

It’s never too early to invest in a good motherhood or treatment bra. Even though the painful boobs will most likely become lighter as you go into the second trimester.

You’ll be thankful for further support as they continue to develop along with your belly.

Recipes to try:

Some women are hungrier than ever during their first trimester. On the other hand, it is very hard for some women to get something into their mouths.

10 Weeks Pregnant Symptoms

Sickness and vomiting:

Early morning sickness may still be with you during this week. But it is good to hear that all of this will settle soon after you knock out the second trimester.

If you’re having food distaste, the picture, odour, or even the idea of certain foods may entirely sicken you.

The most important thing is to keep hydrating your whole day and eat water-rich food.

Sore and growing boobs:

When you are 10 weeks pregnant, your breasts are most likely getting bigger since they have been preparing for breastfeeding for weeks.

Here again, it is your hormone which is striking or initiating your milk channel into high mode.

This will probably make your breasts gentle and your bras light. All these things will settle down when you step into the second trimester.

Constipation:

Feeling choked up? Constipation is a very common symptom in the first trimester.

You can take pleasure in your desired fibre-rich foods such as raspberries and other water-rich fruits.

Keep drinking lots of water because the fibre will not be able to sort out your problem without a sufficient amount of water in your body.

Preventing this kind of issue can also help to keep you away from hemorrhoids, which is common during pregnancy.

You can also talk to your doctor about switching some of your prenatal vitamins. Some of them, which are high in iron, sometimes lead to constipation.

Lower back pain:

Back pain when you are 10 weeks pregnant? It sounds very common. Your hormones and continuing expansion of the uterus may cause trouble for your back muscles.

Try to sleep on your side (most likely left). This can give your back some support or rest.

Mood swings:

Mood swings during the first trimester mostly happen due to hormone disturbance.

You can avoid these signs of pregnancy by eating healthy food, drinking plenty of water, doing maternity yoga or essential exercises.

Visible veins:

During pregnancy, your blood flow increases more than normal. Your body is preparing you to transport nutrients and other essential components to your fetus.

Due to all this blood transportation, your skin may look like a road map, especially on your chest and belly.

Hence, your veins are more visible as they are filled with a high quantity of blood. But they will be back to normal after your delivery.

Vaginal discharge:

During this 10th week, there might be some unexpected discharges.

There is increased blood flow to your vagina together with increased production of estrogen.

These all make or cause a white or clear, odourless discharge called leucorrhea.

This might be a little unpleasant, but this discharge is basically a natural way of getting relief from bacteria.

If this discharge is coloured, traced with blood, or has an impure odour, it can cause uneasiness.

In the above cases, you can call a doctor. Because this can be something else.

Round ligament pain:

There may be some aches and pains in your abdomen, as there is stretching occurring to accommodate your growing fetus.

Some mothers may observe these changes, but some mothers do not.

These sensations are known as “round ligament pains.” You may call it downright painful.

If you are an expectant mother with twins, then round ligament pain can be more visible. In this case, let your doctor know about this pain.
